Animal Welfare Issues

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee is charged with protection the welfare of all animals used in research at ECU. Their web site contains all needed information, policies, procedures and forms.

University Policies:

1.  It is the policy of ECU that all research using animals must be reviewed and approved by the ECU Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
